Dr. Stephen T. Autry

Dr. Autry, past-president of Reconstructive Orthopaedics, earned his medical degree at the University of Oklahoma in 1973, and completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Michigan. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree awarded in 1998 by Xavier University.
Dr. Autry is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, and the Arthroscopic Association of North America. He has privileges in the TriHealth, Alliance and Mercy hospital systems.
His specialty interests include sports medicine, arthroscopy, and minimally invasive hip and knee replacement surgery using computer assisted navigation. He has expertise in quad sparing knee techniques as well as two incision and third generation anterolateral approaches to hip replacement.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Autry is an lifelong avid swimmer. In September 2007, he completed "the holy grail of marathon swimming", the English Channel. The 22 mile trek from Dover, England to France took him only 16 hours in frigid temperature waters.
